AI-Ready College Guide
Don't just tour the dorms. Tour the AI infrastructure.
A practical guide for families, students, and counselors evaluating which HBCU is preparing the next generation for an AI economy.

The AI divide is real. So is the opportunity.
The right HBCU can put your student on the front line of the AI economy with a credential, a lab, a network, and a paycheck. The wrong fit can leave the same student years behind. Ask the right questions before signing the deposit.
The AI-Ready Checklist
Use these nine questions to evaluate any school.
- Does the college have physical AI infrastructure (GPUs, DGX, supercomputing, AI lab)?
- Do undergraduates — not just graduate students — get hands-on access?
- Are NVIDIA, Google, Microsoft, IBM, or NSF programs active on campus?
- Are AI certifications built into tuition (not an expensive add-on)?
- Are non-STEM majors getting AI training too?
- Are faculty using AI across disciplines, or just in one department?
- Are students building models, apps, agents, robotics, or research tools?
- Is the school actively receiving AI grants?
- Is AI tied to real internships, jobs, or entrepreneurship pathways?
- Does the school publish what AI work is happening on campus?
