Accessibility at HBCU.ai

HBCU.ai is free to use with no login, payment, registration, or personal information required.

Our standard

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Accessibility work here is ongoing rather than finished, and we treat reported barriers as corrections.

What we apply site-wide

  • One descriptive H1 per page and a logical heading order
  • Descriptive link text and meaningful image alt text, with empty alt on decorative images
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation, search, and dialogs, with visible focus indicators
  • Labels for every input and accessible error messaging
  • Sufficient color contrast, and no essential information conveyed by color alone
  • Reduced-motion support, with statistics rendered as real text rather than animated zeros
  • Touch targets sized for mobile use, no horizontal overflow at 320 pixels, and zoom to 200 percent
  • Correct document language and a skip-to-content link

Tell us what is not working

If any page, control, document, or chart is difficult to use with assistive technology, email HBCUAI@proton.me. Please include the page address and what happened. We welcome accessibility feedback and will respond with what we can fix and when.
